DEREK YANIGER

I'm a fan of the very talented artist Derek Yaniger.
I would like to recommend his book Wildsville.
Wildsville is full of really cool retro illustrations,
it really is a book that should be in every true
retromaniacs bookcase.

I MAKE MY OWN CEREAL

I had cravings for cereals the other day, I mostly eat oatmeal
in the morning, I had a look at the ingredients on a packet of
crunchy cereals at the supermarket and all I see is sugar, sugar
and more sugar. The price wasn't very appealing either.

So I decided to make my own cereals like I did when I was
living on the minimum in Stockholm.

You'll need:
3 tablespoons of honey
2,5 deciliter (1 cup) of oats
A hand full of whatever you like, for example: pecan nuts,
coconut flakes, dried fruit, almonds...
You can also add some seeds like sesame seeds or line seeds
if you desire, it's very good for the digestion.

Take the honey, put it in a heated pan, low heat, then add the
oats and the stuff of your choice.
Stir it all together on low heat for a minute or two, make sure
the oats mixes well with the honey.
Let it cool off, serve with yoghurt.
Enjoy!

(This mix will last you for a couple of breakfasts so store in a
plastic container in the fridge.)

I used pecan nuts and line seeds.

SWEET AS CHERRIES

I found sweet flip flops with cherries at Primarkfor £1.50/pair.
Perfect for the rockabilly festivals at the beach!
(See Rock&Roll Holidays and High Rock-A-Billy.)

A LITTLE BIT BRIGHTER

I feel a little bit brighter today so I have just finished
packing everything that needs to be sent and I'm on my
way to get dressed and have a walk into town center to
post the stuff and to buy some essentials like vacuum
cleaner bags and hair clips and have a quick look at
Primark to see what's new.
The sun is shining and that makes everything a little bit
easier too.

BAD WEEK

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I have had a bad week.
Went to the emergency last Saturday after fainting, again,
and since then I've been asleep most of the time.
My new medication had really knocked me out.
I'm sorry for the ranting about my illness, I want nothing
more that to get back to my normal bubbly self.

I need to take a break away from auctions, I'm too ill to be
doing it right now and I hate to be a bad seller with all the
delays.

My man gave me this bag yesterday.
I'm nuts about wicker bags and the red straps makes it a
bit unusual and best of all, it goes with almost everything
in my closet. (I got a lot of red items.)

IF I LIVED HERE I'D BE HOME NOW

My man wanted to cheer me up today so he took me
to Hampstead Garden Suburbs to drool over the Art
Deco houses around there.

This is my favorite house on Brim Hill.

Another favorite, this one on Lytton Close.

I'M TOO KITSCHY FOR MY LOVE

I got 28(!) packages to send today.
I'm not looking forward to stand in an endless
line at the post office and write 28 proof of
postage slips but I do look forward to get rid
off a lot of stuff I no longer desire.

This is my latest eBay find.
It's a lamp! The skirt is the actual lamp shade.
My man wasn't too sure about my find. *smirk*
