GOTHIC HEART

I finished three hats today, I'm now out of material
so you won't see any more hats for a while.
Here's one of the hats I finished today.
I love how the roses are caged by a heart shaped net.
This will look perfect in the autumn and winter.

YES, ANOTHER HAT...

Yes, another hat blog post about another hat.
This one really turned out well, at least I think so.
I shaped the veiling as a butterfly and attached it
in the back of the rose, it look way better in real
life though.

FRESH DESIGNS

I've been busy making hats, again.
I finished three today but I haven't had the time or
the right light to take a photo of the third one.
I'm actually very pleased with the result.
I feel like I'm developing my skills day by day and
that this is my "calling". I love it!

ANOTHER BROOCH

Here's another brooch from the 1950's that I really like.
I actually purchased it at the same time as the pretty
berry brooch I blogged about the other day.
This one also cost 10 kr. (90 pence, $1.30, €1.05)
Guess I had a lucky day.

SO SWEDISH

I got a whole lot of beautiful fabrics and table cloths
while I visited Sweden.
I'm really a sucker for novelty prints and this one is
my absolute favorite.
I got it for 5 Kr. (40 pence, $0.70, €0.50)

WICKED WICKER TABLE

Picked up this really cool wicker table from a charity
shop not so long ago for only £10.
It was filthy and in a pretty bad state, but you know
me, when I find something this cool I'm not scared to
put some work into getting it back to it's former glory.

It needed a really good clean and some heavy sanding
to remove the rust. Then I spray painted the legs and
Hey Presto! A new addition to my vintage home.

BEFORE

Years of caked filth and paint stains.


Plenty of rust.


More rust.

AFTER

Nice and clean, thanks to some good brushes and
Swedish pine soap.


Like new.


No more rust.

NEW HAT

I've made a lot of hats this week and my
head feels like it's filled with lead.
I love making them but it sure takes a lot
of time and concentration.

Here's one of five I made yesterday.
It's not so OTT but I think it turned out to
be pretty neat.
