bitch lately so my lovely man took me into
central London to the shop Totally Swedish
this afternoon where I spent £20 on Salmiak
and some other stuff I've been longing for for
a while.

I got:
Salta Katten tablettaskar
Djungelvral
Lakrisal
Jordnotsringar
Filmjolk
Bostongurka
Nyponsoppa
Gammaldags Ideal makaroner
Wasa Frukost
I totally understand your cravings for salmik! I cannot live without it for very long times at all. One good thing about Ikea is that they sell "Salta Siller" there so when I'm out of salmiak I can go there to get some (pretty much only reason I go there).
ReplyDeleteLove salmiak! Funny that they have a "swedish" store, are the owners from sweden?
ReplyDeleteMrs Munster: I stack up on Lingonsylt and Salmiak every time I go to IKEA too, which isn't that often. (I hate crowds.)
ReplyDeleteI do have nice friends that send over some Salta Katten tablettaskar at times. (I hate the new stuff in bags.)
It's rather funny that a country that are so multi kulti don't have stuff like this at the supermarket, I mean, they have everything Indian and Polish you can ever desire but no Salmiak. :))
Zizzi: The owners are Swedish. There's TONS of Swedes living in London so I guess that's why they started it.
It sucks to have to go into central London (takes ages to get to one point to the other in London) every time I want something I find yummy.
Salmiak was one of the things I missed the most when I lived in the UK. :)
ReplyDeleteNow that I'm back in Sweden I miss Quavers and salt and vinegar crisps.
I love Djungelvrål!
ReplyDeletePunk In Writing: There's no salt and vinegar chips in Sweden? :O
ReplyDeleteToo bad they would get badly crushed otherwise we could have swapped; :))
A Red Lipstick: Yeah, thank G*d it doesn't contain pork like almost all Swedish candy.
