I'm a little behind with my posts...
I wanna start this post with good news.
I had a weigh in at the gym today and I now
reached my goal! 5 kilos gone!
I now have a personal goal to lose another 3
but I'm not in a hurry, it's more important to
tone up to be honest.
Monday night was Seder night and it was only
me and my man.
We were hoping to get the new Haggadah's in
time but they didn't show up.
We did a healthy all vegetarian Seder this year
with low cal grape juice instead of wine and we
had a nice soup instead of greasy latkes.
We also had a nice homemade no fat hummus
and low fat garlic dip and carrot sticks.
For dessert I made sesame flapjacks and chai
tea.
Our humble Seder table.
I love the kitschy table cloth!
My man saying the blessing...
Me.

AND SOME MORE FINDS...
Hi!
Hope you all had a nice weekend!
My weekend was peaceful and fun.
I went to Chelmsford to scout the vintage market
and the local charity shops.
I didn't find anything at the vintage market but
there were plenty of charity shops.
I didn't find much but it was very nice to have a
day out.
This is my favorite find of the day.
1960's earrings, 75 pence. (8 kr/$1.10/€0.80)
I got a whole bunch of these now...

MORE FINDS!
Had a pretty nice day out today.
Went for a check up at the optician today and then
we went for lunch and to get my vintage fix at my
favorite vintage shop since it's not yet the season
for car boot sales. (They start next month.)
It's not car boot sale prices either but I think I did
quite well...
I guess I really don't have to mention that the stuff
are from the 1950's/1960's since most of you know
me by now...
Plastic basket, £9.50 (102 kr, $14, €10.50)
Perfect for my curlers!!!
Big wicker handbag, £6.50. (70 kr, $10, €7)
Case for my sunglasses, £1.50 (16 kr, $2.50, €1.60)
Here's some finds from two weeks ago...
Nubian boy for my collection, £1. (10 kr, $1.50, €1)
Really cool candle holders, £2 each. (20 kr, $3, €2)

SWEDISH CRUMB PIE
I had tons of fresh blueberries in the fridge so I
decided to make a Swedish crumb pie as a treat.
I also made proper English custard for the first
time, I'm used to the instant custard we have in
Sweden, which I actually prefer since it's much
quicker, obviously, and it has a stronger vanilla
flavour.
Wanna try this out? All you need is:
1 dl plain flour
2 dl oats
2 tbsp granulated sugar
100 g butter
5 dl fruit or berries of your choice
(Cinnamon covered apple pieces, blueberries, etc.)
1. Mix everything but the fruit/berries evenly, make
into crumbly dough.
2. Grease a pan or use a non stick pan, put in
fruit or berries.
3. Pour the crumbly mixture over fruit or berries.
4. Bake on 225°C for 25 minutes, or until golden
brown.
5. Serve with whipped cream or custard.

MORE FINDS!
Went to another jumble sale today.
As always jumble sales is a pain in the ass but
it's always a good place to get bargains and the
money goes to charity.
Spent £1.95 (21 Kr, $3, €2) in total and this is
what I got:
a gray vintage fur collar,
a white lacy 1950's bed jacket,
a collapsible vintage hat,
a black 1960's slip,
a black knitted sweater,
a red vintage pencil skirt,
a black vintage pencil skirt,
2 1950's ties,
5 pairs of 1950's/1960's gloves,
1 yard of novelty fabric
I love novelty prints!
This will make cute sun tops!
At first I thought this was a warped fan but
after a closer look it turned out to be a hat!
The fabric is awful but I plan to replace it with
a red or candy striped fabric instead.
Here's my favorites of the 5 pairs of gloves I
picked up today.

TREASURE BOX!
It took me a while but here's finally a post about
one of the finds from two weeks ago.
I saw this 1950's sewing box under a lot of dust
with a £6 price tag in a junk shop.
I was pleasantly surprised when I found all the
treasures that was inside of it!
I must add that I didn't save everything, there
was some junk and not all of it would come to use
so what you see is what I kept.
(£6 = 65 Kr, $9, €6)
Closed.
Open.
The cute tins!
(Click on image for larger version.)
There were booklets too!
(Click on image for larger version.)
These buttons really caught my eye, my favorite
of the entire bunch. Aren't they adorable?
There's a lot of work behind all this you know...
I sort and clean everything, can't stand dust and
dirt on my new found treasure(s).
First I sorted all of the buttons, it was a bit like
detective work and I only kept a small amount of
the whole bunch, I gave the odds to charity.
I put all buttons in a plastic bowl with some luke-
warm water and some anti-bacterial washing up
liquid and stirred them for a while before I poured
them into a sieve and then onto a towel where I
dried them off.
Like most old stuff you have to mend but I don't
really mind.
A quick wash with a non scour sponge and anti-
bacterial washing up liquid.
I wish you all a very nice weekend!

SORRY...
Hi dolls!
I'm sorry about the lack of posts.
I got a few goodies at the jumble sale and in an
antique/junk shop last weekend but I haven't
had the time to blog about it.
I won't have time tomorrow because I'm going
to Essex over the weekend.
Hope you can wait until Monday.
I got good news!
In five weeks time I've lost 4 kilos (9 lbs) and I
must say I'm a bit proud over myself, I now got
one more kilo to go before I reached my first goal.
After that I want to try to lose some more, only
like 3 kilos or so.
This might not sound like much to you but I'm not
at all big so for me it's a huge accomplishment.
Yours truly this very evening.

IMFAMOUS HAGGLING
Hi girls!
Are you all as excited as me this weekend?
I'm gonna be busy with vintage fairs, jumble
sales and maybe a car boot sale.
We went to the antique market today, didn't
find anything so we scouted the charity shops
and I spotted a new one and had to go in and
there she was, this vintage 1960's dressmaker
dummy with teak legs.
The price tag said £50 but my man did some of
his famous (or infamous I might say) haggling
and got her for £20!!!

MORE COCKTAIL HATS!
I want to start by saying thanks to all of you who
commented on my post about size on Wellies.
I got them today and I'm glad I did what you all said!
I really needed one size bigger for sure, my normal
size would have been too snug.
And I must say that must have been the best £18
I ever spent! Love them!
OK, now to something more glamorous than Wellies...
Finished these two yesterday morning.
I like a bit of variation in my work so I do everything
from sweet to over the top, cute to exotic...
Hope you like them!

DOES SIZE MATTER?
On Wellies that is...
Gosh! Some of you have got a really dirty mind today! ;)
I'm about to buy these but I had to stop and think for a
second, what size do I buy?
Should I buy my normal size or one size bigger, in case I
need to put an extra pair of socks on?
I can really do with a good advice by now. Thanks.
I really love the style on these Wellies, they look a bit
like motorcycle boots.
I think they will look perfect with a red gingham skirt
at a hot rod race. Don't you?
(They cost me £17.99 including shipping.)
