VETERANS DAY
So this is post no. 900! :D
For you WW2 enthusiasts, this might be a treat...
Last week, May 16th to be exact, me and my man brought
our friend, fellow musician and part time lodger, Dave with
us to the RAF museum in Hendon, London, to go see The
Jive Aces perform for all the veterans, it was Veterans Day.
We had a really good time and I just love walking around,
looking at the air crafts. It's an incredible experience, you'll
feel SO small.
If you're ever in London, make sure you take a trip to the
RAF museum, you will enjoy it, trust me!
This is just a handful of photos, if you want to see the rest,
then check out my RAF album on Facebook.
Me and my man.
Dave Phillips and my man looking handsome.
Aluminum airplane, model size.
I couldn't find what kind of craft this was, unfortunately.
The Jive Aces.
BoeingB17 Flying Fortress
Bristol Beaufighter TFX
Bristol F2B Fighter
Curtiss Kittyhawk III , MY absolute favorite, I even got one
tattooed on my right sleeve. :D

AWESOME COLORS!
It's been a while since I bought new nail polish but today, as
we were picking up essentials for out vacation I found these.
The make is Collection 2000 and they were £1.79 each at my
local Boots.
I hope that yellow is THE yellow I've wanted for years.
While waiting for my turn at the beauty salon to get into the
tanning booth I went into my favorite charity shop and that's
where I found these two carved bangles for £1.20 each!
I know they are old because they are marked Foreign on the
inside, a sure sign that they are not a modern repro.
My next post will be no. 900!!!
It will also be the last post before I go on vacation.
I got something cool up my sleeve that I think many of you,
my dear readers, might like!

SPICY SOUP
Hi there!
As you might have read before, my man always buy too
much fruit and veg, well, it's only too much if you waste it
and I hate wasting food.
As we're going to Spain soon we need to clear the fridge
and yesterday I used a lot of the tomatoes and a few red
peppers that was in there.
I got a light flu at the moment so this soup is just perfect to
scare germs away. I used TONS of garlic and chilli, I might
stink for a week. LOL!
I love Penne Arrabiata, I'm very good at making it and I do
so almost a bit too often but then I use tinned tomatoes.
This is an Arrabiata style soup, only thing that differs from
the real deal is the red peppers.
This is a really nice vegan dish if you don't add the Penne.
Here's what I used:
Red peppersTomatoes
Fresh basil
Garlic
Red chillies
Olive oil
Salt
Cracked black pepper
Tomato paste
Sorry, I don't use measurements, you make this to your
own personal taste. Be brave! :)
Here's an idea, I always keep a jar of already peeled
garlic in the fridge, that saves a bit of time, I also keep
finely chopped red chillies in a jar of oil.
(I let the food processor do the chopping.)
Some of the ingredients.
1. Heat the oil and add garlic, red chillies and black pepper.
Fry gently for a little while, you don't want them to get brown.
2. Add the peppers first, let them get soft.
They need longer to cook because they are firmer than
tomatoes, of course.
3. Add fresh basil.
4. Add the tomatoes.
You won't need any liquid because the tomatoes are so
juicy it won't be necessary.
5. Let it simmer for a while until everything is soft and full
of flavor. Add salt and tomato paste, let cook some more.
6. When you're happy with the taste, put the mix in a food
processor or blender, make it smooth.
7. You don't need to add any pasta, the soup is awesome
as it is, I used Penne had some in the fridge from the other
day and since I'm ill and can't swallow that well I cut the
Penne in half, it look kind of cute.
I used a tiny bit of the soup as liquid to heat them up in the
microwave.
8 Serve while it's hot and enjoy!

HEMSBY FINDS
Wow! I'm promising posts and I actually deliver! LOL!
I think you all gave me a confidence boost the other day
to keep this blog alive for a little while longer.
OK, here's our finds from the Hemsby car boot sale.
Click on the pictures for a larger view.
1950's sunglasses, £2.
They are well worn but I don't mind that at all.
If I lose these on the beach at Screamin' it's not the biggest deal.
I hope I won't but the Sangria and the sun does make people go
a bit crazy. ;))
1950's bracelet, £2.
I'm don't wear a lot of pink but this cuff bracelet is too nice for words,
I just had to have it!
1950's vases and flower pot, £15 for the set.
While me and Rozanna were busy setting up the stall my man
went through other peoples boxes and found these treasures!
So right up my alley! Love, love, love!
1940's/1950's house dress, £3.
My favorite find of the day!
Found this at the stall next to us. The reason it was so cheap
is because of a lot of fading but I really don't care, I still love
it VERY much!
You'll only notice it if you stare at it or know about it.
Close up on the pattern.
I just love the pleated sleeves and the little chest pocket!

HEMSBY
As promised! Here's some pictures from my Hemsby
rock n' roll weekend!
For once I had a really good time, too bad I missed a
few people that I would have loved to catch up with. :(
This year we got a pretty nice chalet and I had my gal
Rozanna with me so I was never left alone.
My man knows everyone and always get stuck chatting
to people and leave me all alone for hours, which really
bugs me. It was nice to just have some girl time.
Also the weather was nice, Saturday and Sunday was
nice and sunny, nice to have a break from the rain that
has been pissing down for almost two months now!
I scored at the car boot sale, didn't get many things but
the things I got was awesome!
I will blog about that tomorrow.
Click on the pictures for a better view.
Wesley Karr & The Automobiles
My handsome fella on double bass.
Gene Summers
Legend! Love most of his songs, my favorite is "Straight Skirt"
The Go Getters
Here's my fella again playing maracas. :D
Me and my friend Elaine.
I love when she's hammered! LOL!
My fella and Dave Phillips.
Working on some new material outside our chalet.
Me in my own creations.
Necklace and hair flowers that is...
Dave Phillips & The Hotrod Gang
My friend Rozanna and our car boot sale stall.
She was a real gem helping me out with all this.
Rozanna has got an awesome Etsy shop, check it out!
My fella and La Dama!
I finally got to meet this sassy lady!
We don't live far from each other and my fella and her hubby are
friends. I really don't know why we haven't met up earlier.
My Fella and Wesley Karr.
I talked them into having a little jam at the car boot sale. :)
Hemsby chalets.
If you want to see more pictures from the weekend

THAT'S BANANAS!
Here's another necklace I've made for myself to wear
at the Screamin' (rockabilly) Festival in Spain.
I made it early Saturday morning at the Hemsby rock
n' roll weekender. I'm clever that way, I always bring
a box of craft so I have something to do while others
are asleep.
I will blog about the Hemsby weekender tomorrow.
I purchased the plastic bananas, along with a whole
bunch of other small vintage plastic fruit from the very
lovely Amanda at Little Vintage Violet on Etsy.
(Excellent service! Check out her shop, she got tons
of cute stuff for really good prices!)
Still don't know if I should add any green leaves or go
for just bananas...
Picture borrowed from Vintage Stylez.
I purchased a dress just like this one back in 2007 and
I never really worn it and it hit me earlier that this dress
is just perfect together with both my banana and cherry
necklaces! This is on the list of things to pack. :)

TO DELETE OR NOT DELETE...
I'm thinking about deleting this blog once and for all.
I don't have any readers and I've been bad at reading
and commenting in other blogs and I just can't stand
this new outfit.
Also I haven't done anything fun so there's nothing to
write about, it's been raining non stop for over seven
weeks!!!
I'm gonna give this blog a month or so before I make
my final decision.
Here's a few things I've made last week.
I want something cool to wear around my neck and
in my hair when we rocking our asses off in Spain in
June and so I came up with this.
Ice cream necklace.
Swallow hair flowers.
