PUMPKIN PIE

It ain’t pretty but it sure was good!
My man did the crust and I made the wonderful filling.

(Filling: pumpkin, eggs, brown sugar, double cream,
Swedish mulled wine, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamon,
and fresh ginger.)

Had to represent with a Swedish moose and an over
sized squirrel. LOL!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

NO ROOM, NO SPACE

We have officially no more room in this house for anything!
With the gruesome house prices here in the UK and a man
who doesn't want to learn Swedish and move there to make
a better life for us we have no other choice than to let go of
some stuff.
(I mean, do we really need 3 1950's/1960's cocktail bars?)

Here's two larger items I'm trying to sell at the moment...

1950's fold out sewing table with an Arrow sewing machine
Works fine and dandy!
The sewing machine is screwed on to the table and can be
folded down when it's not used. ..

Loads of space...

Bakelite pedal...

1960's teak cocktail cabinet
Well cared for...

Very chic...

Perfect for the mid century home...

I really hope these two wonderful items end up in a nice
home somewhere here in the UK.

CANDYFLOSS & SALSA

I’m not turning into a “look at my awesome nails”
kind of girl, this is just a novelty thing for me, it's
only my second and I won't pester you with tons
of posts about my future moon manicures. :)

This is from last night.
Candyfloss pink and metallic salsa.
(I hope to improve this!)

IT'S A MATCH!

You all know the saying "Good things come to those who wait"
and I believe this is true every now and then, like the other day...

3 years ago I found this laundry bin at Hitchin Antique Market
for £12 and I was one happy camper to have snagged such a
find...

The other day I came across something equally awesome...

This MATCHING ottoman!
As you can see it needs a bit of TLC and a new rim around
the lid but who cares when it's MATCHING?! :D

I found this in a real dump of a charity shop and got so excited.
I haven't even been looking around for anything with the same
pattern so it was a total surprise.
Since it does need a bit of work I didn't think the price were fair
but my man, the super haggler, said he take care of it.
He spoke to the manager and made him an offer of £10 and he
accepted because it's been there for quite a while.
So from £30 to £10, not bad! :D

I wonder what else is out there that's matching...

MOON MANICURE

I made my first moon manicure the other day and I
must say I'm pleased with the result.
I don't wear nail polish all the time since I glue a lot
but I'm having a little craft break right now and so I
thought I do something different.
I like this color combination, mint and bottle green.
I should get a bottle of base coat because I have a
feeling this whole thing will chip off.

PRETTIEST STITCHES

I'm prancing around the house in the prettiest summer
stitches I got in my entire closet.
A stunning two piece beach outfit I got from the lovely
Anna when we visited her when we were in Sweden in
mid July.
I'm having total and utter anxiety switching my wardrobe
from summer to winter. I hate it!
Let's hope we get a fab summer 2013!

SPARKLY

I already got a pair of gold lurex capri pants (well,
it’s actually a jumpsuit/high waisted capri’s) but I’ve
been on the lookout for a pair that’s even more gold
in color and sparkly to the max but sellers on eBay
and Etsy are really taking the mickey on the price
when it comes to vintage gold lurex capri’s so I gave
up looking.
(I rather spend $300 on something more useful.)

Lucky me there’s a great haberdashery shop in town.
Got this fabric last week and it was on sale and a few
minutes before I found a £5 note on the floor so they
were basically free! :D

It took me 2 hours (that’s including cutting, trying them
on and endless amount of times and refilling the spool
twice) and I must say I’m pretty darn pleased since I
did it freehand and it was 13 years ago (where did the
time go?) since I last made a pair of pants!

PLASTIC FANTASTIC

Just wanted to show off my plastic necklaces that I've made
during rainy days. More to come...

LAST LOOT?

I guess this might be the last car boot sale loot post for
a while. This is a few of my finds from last Saturday.

Vintage satin Hanukkah bush ornaments, £1 for the lot.
Need to get the kitsch factor even higher this year.

Vintage Bambi, 20 pence.
There's a few patches missing but I plan to take some off
the bottom and glue onto his face, if and when I got time
that is. Right now he looks like he's ready for Halloween,
like the skin is coming off and show his skull. :P

1980's He-man drawstring bag, 20 pence.
Someone clearly took and old pillow case and turned into
a drawstring bag for gym class, not successfully I might add.
My plan is to sew on some straps and make a tote bag out
of it instead.

Book, £1.
Cheaper than Amazon and eBay. ;P

Vintage bamboo frame, 20 pence.
Perfect for notifications or whatever when I have a stall.
Or our living room...

Vintage bamboo jewelry box, £1.
I'm thinking this could serve well for the stall as well.
Nice way to show the jewelry that's for sale.

Vintage jewelry, £1 for the lot.
Love them both. I'm impressed with the handiwork on the
necklace, it's just so amazing.

Pretty make up bag, 20 pence.
Too kitsch and too good of a price not to get.

1960's coat, £2.
I was so happy when I found this because
I've been looking on eBay for 3 years now
for a teal coat but without luck.
£2 for a nice coat is what I call a steal!

1950's nylon nightgown, £1.
I can't get enough of these and whenever I find
one for under £5 I always get them.

MORE DOLLFACE

Here's more dollface fascinators.
These got pink or black bases.
