BEFORE AND AFTER

Hi dear readers! Happy new year!
Did you make any new year’s resolutions?
I did, I want and need to be more creative.
I got creative freedom at work and I started the new
year by saving a stunning teak sideboard, it was in an
awful state when it came in with five dark water rings
and a huge white patch on the top, I sanded it with a
very fine sandpaper until the whole top were in the
same tone and then I oiled it twice, it does look brand
new now and I so wish I took before and after pictures.
I did with my second project of the year tho, a kidney
shaped vanity from the 1950's.
The top were quite icky, I must add that in the before
picture I had already painted the top white.
Then I made curtains in a leopard printed satin fabric
and added black satin bias at the bottom hem.
I glued the same fabric on the top and when it dried I
put on the glass top for protection.
I left the drawers natural color because it's up to the
new owner to do whatever they see fit with it.
The white stool is included in the sale.
Quite neat, huh?

Sweet!
Also, I see your fire extinguisher is in place. Groovy. (Noticing things like that and commenting on them is an occupational hazard.) ;)

Clare: Thanks! Glad to hear it!

Malin: Thank you very much! :)
Yeah, I made sure there's room to get by the vanity in case of fire and also nothing is in the way for the fire escape in the back. :))
