MY WEEKEND

So what have I've been up to lately?
Well, Friday was a day out in Camden with my man,
we went for lunch and scouting charity shops.
On the way home we stopped by IKEA.

The rest of the weekend was pretty much spent by
the sewing machine, the oven and on the sofa.

I also managed to salvage this beautiful embroidered
1950's dress with matching bolero that's been hiding
in one of my bags of vintage fabrics.
I got it 8 years ago and the dry cleaners in Stockholm
said it was unsalvageable, (it pretty much looked like
some one's been pissing all over it) so it's been in this
bag ever since and I forgot all about it.
Since they all said it's ruined I thought I give it a go,
so I sprayed it with Vanish, turned it inside out and
put it in a laundry bag and washed it in the machine,
turned out to be back in it's former glory.
I just need to shorten it and take it in slightly. :)
(Pictures will be posted when I'm done.)

Anyway, here's what I got in Camden:

Knitted fox scarf, £3.
It had the original tags left and it was purchased in a posh
store in Japan.
The price tag said 5000 Yen, which is £40.

Hello bargain!

Top, £1.
This thing was too good to miss! It needed a wash and a go
with the lint remover.
It will look perfect with these shoes and a red pencil skirt!

Brand new gingham dress, £3.50.
Colorful dress, £2.
The yellow dress need a revamp and a belt.
I hate the blue and brown ribbon. Yuk!

And here's what I've been making lately:

Finished this yesterday. It used to be a little girls dress
that I got at a car boot sale, I was meant to make a skirt
out of it but I noticed some stains that didn't disappear
in the wash so I decided to make an apron instead.
I love the pocket I made.

I had a sort out in my drawers in the hobby room and
I found these, half finished, I started working on these
over two years ago(!), so I finished them last week.

Here's another thing I found and finished last week.
I started working on it at the same period of time as
the pasties. I still don't know why I didn't finish these
two projects a long time ago...
This one looks fabulous on by the way.
