HAVE A ROCKING WEEKEND!

I know I will!
I'm going to my best girls wedding tomorrow and
I'm finally gonna wear my favorite 1950's dress.
I saved it for a special occasion.
My plan is to wear it with a pale gold toned 3/4
sleeved cardigan and pale gold toned heels with a
dusty pink bow.

I got the dress back in 2008(!) and it was in a
bad state, it was gray and full of red wine stains,
no dry cleaner wanted to touch it. (The tag said
"dry cleaning only".)
I had enough after two years of it just hanging in
my closet looking sad and neglected, so thought
to myself, I never gonna wear it in the state it's
in and I can't wear it if something goes wrong
after a proper wash in the washing machine but
I'm gonna take a chance and give it a go.

I had to remove the interfacing that was in the
skirt (it made it very boxy anyway) and the
rhinestones and then spray it with tons of Vanish
and put it in a laundry bag and then wash it on
the delicate program.
After a few washes it looked good and the yellow
really radiates.
There's still faded red wine stains but you can't
tell if you don't look very carefully.

Detail.

Good idea: I took a photo of the dress before I
removed the rhinestones, that way I can easily
put them back exactly where they were.
